Drink Your Greens

Eating more green vegetables, will increase your intake of vitamins, minerals and fiber; and one of the ways to get your daily dose of nutrients is by making green smoothies, it’s also a really delicious way to keep your body chemistry alkaline (a positive ph balance). You can also make sure you get your fiber intake by making green salads and smoothies using chopped up green vegetables and fruit.

Incorporating Green Smoothies in your diet is an easy, delicious way to boost up your health and a great way to stay fueled through out the day. And because they are high in fiber, your body stays regular (if you know what I mean). Green smoothies are known to resolve a lot of digestive problems. And with a proper diet, can help you stay lean.
Note: Green Smoothies are generally a mix of 50% ripe fruit, 40% organic greens and 10% supplements such as: protein or hemp powders, flax or chai seeds.

Here is one of my Favorite Green Smooth Recipes:

Kale and Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients

1 banana
1 tablespoon hemp protein powder
2 cups of fresh/frozen strawberries
1 cup of kale
1 tablespoon of pure coconut oil
2 cups almond, coconut, rice milk or just pure water
1 teaspoon of choice (optional)
wheatgrass
flax seeds
chai seeds

Directions

Put all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend well.
You may want to add a little more liquid if you like your smoothie thinner.

Green Smoothies contain important minerals, vitamins, healthy omega three fats, fiber, protein, enzymes, that are hydrating and easy to digest! When the body is hydrated so is the hair and skin. Remember: Beauty from the inside out.
